Signature of grant contracts: overview of initial grant applications

The first call for the grant projects closed on 08 December 2020 and demonstrated a great interest of solar sector companies in Madagascar with the submission of 16 applications leading to a major step towards the development of the off-grid market.

This first call was concluded with the signature of twelve (12) grant contracts with the companies listed below. Via these partnerships, OMDF aims to provide access to electricity to households through the distribution of over 900,000 certified solar products by June 2024. The estimated subsidy to be disbursed based on these results is nearly USD 28 million.
