Signature of the Grant Contracts: Retrospective of the First FBR Grant Submission Window

The first grant application window closed on December 08, 2020. It showed the interest of the actors of the solar sector in Madagascar with the submission of 16 applications thus leading to a big step towards the off-grid market development.

This first round was finalized by the signature of twelve (12) subsidy contracts with the Malagasy companies listed below. Through its partnerships, OMDF aims to provide access to electricity to households through the distribution of over 900,000 certified solar products by June 2024. The estimated subsidy to be disbursed based on these results is nearly $28 million.
